Lawrence Law is Associate Director of the Sino Group, a major property developer in Hong Kong. Lawrence is responsible for the Group’s leasing portfolio, encompassing over 130 buildings and complex across the offices, industrial, residential and retail sectors. Before joining the Sino Group in October 2010, Lawrence had worked in the finance industry for 26 years, including a 23-year stint with HSBC, during which his responsibilities covered a wide spectrum of areas within the bank, ranging from economist, corporate and strategic planning, management accounting, management information system, financial control and retail risk management; he was also district manager for branches on the Island as well as Head of Mortgages. His last post with HSBC was Head of Banking Services, and took the helm for the business and product development of key banking products. Lawrence joined Bank of China in 2006 as General Manager, leading their personal and retail banking business. Lawrence had assisted the bank to gain market leader position, notably mortgages, deposits and retail securities trading business. Throughout his career, Lawrence had spearheaded many business initiatives, notably on the mortgage front. He brings with him a wealth of experience in both retail and wealth management. He holds a Master of Science degree in Econometrics from University of London.
