Over 19 years of experience in public and private, equity and debt real estate markets across Asia and Australia. Prior to joining Heitman in June 2010, John was Co-Head, Real Estate Securities at Challenger for 5 years and Senior Investment Manager, Real Estate Securities at HSBC Asset Management from 2001. Before this, John worked in Investment Banking as a Senior Property Trust Analyst at HSBC Securities and gained corporate finance and property work-out experience at ANZ Banking Group. He began his career as a real estate appraiser at Landauer and Chesterton. John holds a Bachelor of Business (University of Western Sydney-Hawkesbury) and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (Securities Institute of Australia). John is a member of the Asian Public Real Estate Association, Australian Property Institute and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
